Welcome to the StudioLPP

Formerly known as Little Pals Photography.

Photography is more than just a hobby to me. It is my creative expression.

I am a wife and mother of 2 beautiful daughters. My family means the world to me just as I am sure yours means the world to you. I believe every family should have memories they can cherish for a lifetime. I want to help capture those memories for you. Children grow up way to fast then become young adults leaving the nest. Lots of important occasions in our lives that should be captured.

Newborns thru the first year are one of my absolute favorite stages to capture. Don't trust just anyone with that precious cargo. Everything I use at a session is cleaned between clients.

Seniors - If you are looking for more than just boring backgrounds and want a session as unique as you are then contact me today to discuss how together we can create memories and amazing pictures of you!

Sunday I got the pleasure of taking photos for this adorable little girl as she celebrated her very first birthday!

She enjoyed the bubble machine, playing with all her friends and walking laps around the tables (with help of course)

Definitely one of the least messy cake eaters that I have seen in a while.

Here is just a sampling of her big day!

Playing catch up…………  again!  Tis the Season.

Tyler & Tawny……  plus Daisy 🙂   came in for some pictures for Christmas.

They brought these old Christmas lights and were ever so good at holding their breathe so that we could do longer exposure to capture the true glow from the lights.  Even Daisy held still long enough for a shot!

And after this session…………  THEY GOT ENGAGED!!!!!  Congrats Tyler & Tawny.  Can’t wait to photograph your wedding in 2014!

Just before Christmas this family gathered at my studio for a picture to celebrate Mom & Dad’s 20th Anniversary

Being my studio space is on the smaller side capturing a group of 10 in one shot just really isnt possible.

Plus getting 3 small children and all family members looking at the camera at the same time can also be a bit of challenge.

This family image is actually a merged image of 4 separate pictures!

The groups were shot in smaller sections and then images merged in post processing to create a fun family group picture where all children are looking!   There are many factors to consider when attempting this type of merge.  You want each image to have everyone at the same size & lighting to maintain consistency across so the final image doesn’t look pieced together.

We had a great time shooting these images…..  And aren’t those little ones just adorable!!

December 2oth 2012 I wandered outside to try and capture some snowflakes….

Most of the snow was like little ice pellets but I did manage to find a “needle in the haystack”

Waiting for the next snowfall hoping to capture many more snowflakes in the future.

Here is what I did capture.  This image is really cropped in so you can see the detail.
This snowflake was extra tiny!

Small Business Saturday I was at Marceile’s in Dixon for Holiday Mini Sessions
This little darling girl is a repeat client.  It is so fun watching her grown up.

Thought I would share this storyboard I put together.

{Renee & Tony 9-29-12} Studio LPP ~ wedding photographer

On Saturday September 29th, 2012

This adorable couple said their vows……

You could feel the love they have for each other.  IT WAS AMAZING…..

The weather was perfect.  Crisp clear day.  Slight breeze.

Bridal party was so much fun.

Here are just a few of the MANY images I am going through for them.

I grabbed just a random sampling of their day as a sneak peek.

I will post a few more later after I get through them all.

First up to show you just how special these two are.  Renee had hidden a card for him to find in his bag on the night before their wedding day.  He found the card in the morning and sent her this touching message …..  so sweet.

Time to get dressed….  and to lace up the dress

The beautiful bride before the wedding…..

The couple after the wedding…… (playing around with a fun edit.  Not sure if this is final yet)

Fun option to a traditional wedding cake is these yummy cupcakes.

I can personally say the  German Chocolate Cupcake one was delicious!!!

Couples first dance……  thought this deserved a vintage  feeling edit……  with the fun light flare of the dj lights.

So many more images to go through………  Hope you enjoyed your sneak peek.

Congratulations again to Renee & Tony (aka Rusty as his friends call him)

Over the weekend I had so much fun with this senior.

Miss Lauren……  Beautiful.

She has a killer smile and really got into the serious look!

She just rocked this session!

Great person inside and out!

Mom was my helper and even climbed underneath a bush

to hold a reflector to block the splotchy light that was falling on her daughter’s face.

Got a bit chilly at the end but Lauren was a trooper and powered through!

Here are just a few of her many many proofs she will be seeing!

{Seniors – shooting with my awesome friend} Studio LPP

I spent a weekend out of state in Wisconsin at a

fellow photographers house and watching her work

her magic with seniors. Tiffany is an amazing friend and

an even more amazing photographer.

It is really interesting to watch how she works.

Every photographer has their own style that makes them

unique.  And everyone, whether it be a senior or family looking

to capture their families, or a couple looking for wedding photos,

should choose their photographer

based on making sure what you want in your end result

is reflected in a portfolio of your choosen photographer.

I shadowed along and shot a few images around her.  Trying

not to disturb her work flow.  Her clients have given me permission

to share my images on my website.  While we were both at the same

location shooting under the same light…. we captured different looks and

have our own unique editing styles….  it is what makes our photos our own art.

Here are just a few of the images I captured ……

And thanks to Stephanie and Gracie for letting me take a few pics too!

Another beautiful fun senior!

We met at a beautiful yard of their friends.

Gorgeous garden!
Then headed downtown for some fun urban images.
